I’m going to be very clear with you; garlic is very helpful when it comes to many thyroid conditions, whether you are suffering from hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism or thyroid cancer.
Indeed, garlic is very protective when it comes to your thyroid glands, and in this post, I’m going to show you how you can benefit from it a lot.
The first thing you need to understand is that garlic is not a magic bullet, in other words, it’s not going to heal your thyroid condition once and for all, it’s only going to help it a lot though!
Because let’s face it, most people suffering from thyroid problems have either one or all of the following symptoms:
- Cardiovascular troubles
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol levels
- Or bacterial infections
Well, garlic is very efficient against these conditions, and here, I’m not talking about some fluff scientific evidence, I’m talking about many studies that have been done that prove that garlic is extremely protective for your cardiovascular system and may even protect it against different types of cancers as it contains huge amounts of sulfur compounds that play an important role for increasing your cardiovascular health and DNA damage protection.
You should check the following study if you’d like to know more about garlic’s protective effect when it comes to your cardiovascular health: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23746107
So, how can you use garlic for protecting your thyroids and healing them?
Well, to tell you the truth, most people don’t know how! In fact, you should feel very lucky to know such information, they can be truly lifesaving!
My mother in low suffers from a terrible thyroid condition, hypothyroidism.
At first, she had terrible hair loss, weight gain, and was feeling depressed and down all the time!
Well, after following her medical treatment and her doctor’s advice, she began practicing more sports, eating healthy, and adding more fruits and vegetables to her diet.
Soon, she was feeling much better, but she was still suffering from hair loss and weight gain, that’s when she read about garlic and how its consumption was associated with healthier metabolism and healthier thyroids, so, she began adding minced garlic to her salads and foods on a daily basis, and this is the results she noticed:
Her hair started growing healthy, she doesn’t suffer from excess weight gain anymore, and she has good levels of energy.
I’m not saying here that garlic “healed” her, what I’m saying is that garlic helped her with her condition tremendously, and to tell you the truth, there aren’t many conclusive studies that link garlic consumption with thyroid health, but from my experience and that of my mother in low, it’s really beneficial, and you have nothing to lose, after all, it’s a vegetable, and people have been consuming it for the last thousands of years without any side effects, just a little smell.
This is what my mother in low did in order to use garlic for her thyroid condition:
Every day, she would mince one garlic clove and either swallow it with large amounts of water or just sprinkle it onto her food and salads.
It’s very easy, and I know you will get a lot of benefits from it, you should try it.
