Garlic has very powerful antimicrobial properties that you should use to your advantage; this means that whenever you have bacterial infections, your first go to home remedy and herb should be garlic!
Indeed, garlic contains a very powerful sulfur compound called allicin, it’s the one responsible for its amazing antimicrobial properties and in this post, I’m going to show you how to get it in abundance and without losing a lot.
The first thing you can do is to use intrinsic garlic pills that are very high in allicin.
Although I do not recommend this if you are not suffering from bacterial problems or inflammations, and if you are just looking for prevention, you should just stick to using raw garlic, but in case you are suffering from terrible bacterial infections, then, you should probably use allicin supplements, they contain very high amounts that are surely going to destroy most bacteria that are responsible for your infections and health problems as well.
Unfortunately, when it comes to raw garlic, it doesn’t contain a lot of allicin, and you may be wondering why!
It’s because when you peel and mince garlic, it loses most of its allicin because of interaction with oxygen in the air, in other words, garlic is going to be oxidize and lose its amazing nutrients very quickly!
What I want you to do instead is to use this technique: it’s going to sound strange, but I have tried it many times, and it’s amazing for getting all of garlic’s antimicrobial properties safely and efficiently:
Simply peel three garlic cloves and when you are done, press them a little and peel them very quickly, then, put them in a spoon with some drops of olive oil and swallow everything!
Well, most of garlic’s amazing nutrients, antimicrobial and antibacterial compounds are fat soluble, in other words, they are going to be absorbed by fatty substances and be transferred safely to your liver which knows what to do with them.
So, if you would like to protect allicin in garlic and to get all its amazing antimicrobial properties, you need to add a little bit of fat, it’s important and it’s going to protect this important molecule from oxidizing with the oxygen in the air.
And as mentioned before, you can use garlic pills that are very rich in allicin as well, although I don’t recommend this for most benign problems.
Sometimes, when you have a terrible bacterial infection, you can use allicin pills; they are very powerful as well.
