Does garlic kill candida? The answer is absolutely yes, but it’s not that simple!
I keep receiving so many questions related to candida and garlic in this website, and I always find myself explaining in details to people that garlic is not a magic bullet, in other words, ingestion some garlic cloves won’t help them with their candida troubles once and for all, in fact, the best way to kill candida in my opinion is to follow a good diet!
Let me tell you about my wife’s story:
When she was young, she was addicted to junk food, in fact, when we met, she was a bit yellowish, pale, and had a very weak health, of course, we talked about this, and I told her that I was very health conscious and that I was following a very strict diet, she agreed to this, but she didn’t adhere to it herself.
Well, after some few weeks of married life, I understood that she was suffering from candida, and she was very self-conscious about it, so, we began talking about it, and at that time, I was really addicted to garlic, I was consuming it every day and in large amounts.
Soon, I told my wife about a scientific article I have read where it’s mentioned that garlic was very powerful against candida, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22433888 , so, we decided to give it a try and lo and behold, it worked!
But after further research, I came to the conclusion that garlic wasn’t the most important ingredient in this healing process, it’s was adhering to a healthy diet.
My wife changed her diet from lots of saturated fats and processed foods to natural and fiber rich ones which made her bowel movements regular and cleansing her body from the inside.
So, does garlic kill candida?
The answer is absolutely yes, garlic contains very powerful antifungal properties which are going to get rid of your candida issues, I’ve talked about this in many of my previous posts, but most importantly, if you would like to cleanse your body from candida and get rid of it once and for all, you need to start taking care of your diet, more importantly, you need to eat lots of fiber rich foods, like whole grains, fruits and vegetables, they are the most powerful when it comes to getting rid of candida and other issues as well.
Anyway, if you would like to learn more about this, I highly recommend that you read my previous posts on garlic and candida, but in general, garlic alone doesn’t get rid of candida once and for all, you need to follow a good diet that’s very low in saturated fats and processed foods, and most importantly, that’s very low in animal foods as much as possible.
