I keep receiving so many questions and comments from different readers, and recently, a female reader asked me the following: does garlic help with allergies?
And the answer is absolutely not!
Unfortunately, garlic is going to increase your immune response, this means that your allergies are never going to slow down and lower in violence, instead, some allergies are going to be accelerated and somehow worsened!
It’s because garlic increases your immune function, in fact, this is the reason why people are recommended to take garlic when they are suffering from flus and colds, it’s simply because it’s going to increase immune response and help with invading parasites and bacteria.
I know that this is going to sound disappointing and untrue, especially if you are suffering from a terrible allergy, but what you need to understand is that if your allergies are benign and not that frequent, then, you can use garlic, however, it will not help and you may notice that some of your allergies are going to be increased a little, this is the reason why you need to consult with your doctor before attempting to do anything, in fact, I always advise my readers to consider garlic as medicine by itself, in other words, to never use it in large amounts without first consulting a doctor, especially if they are suffering from a chronic condition or an allergy.
In general, avoid using garlic if you are suffering from allergies, as mentioned before, it’s going to increase your immune response which is going to increase allergic reactions in your body.
It can be insignificant and somehow not dangerous, but in some cases, it can be extremely dangerous and may increase your allergic reactions dramatically, so, use it carefully and please, as mentioned before, consult with a doctor before attempting anything.
